Dolores Huerta Preparatory High New Building Project
Dolores Huerta Preparatory High will be housed in their new building on 18th street, north of Cesar Chavez Academy, for the 2007-08 School Year. The building team has been working closely with Bassett Construction, Abel Engineering and all the sub contractors for electrical, mechanical, and plumbing to make sure that everything is on schedule. The new sight has 3 phases. The first phase will include a state of the art gymnasium, large wrestling and weight
lifting room, a gymnastics room with a spring floor, a unique stage that will be utilized in the Cafetorium as well as the gymnasium, state of the art science lab, computer lab, 14 classrooms and an administrative wing. The first phase will also include the completion the surrounding streets by August 2007. The next phase will be the completion of the sports complex, which include: baseball/softball fields, football field and stadium. The last phase will be 10 additional classrooms..
